The Sonata also gives you room to stretch with industry-leading interior space — which is actually on par with that of larger class models. Next, the new Sonata ditched hubcaps for more stylish alloy heels that lend to the Sonata’s classy look.

Hyundai Sonata Freeport, A Segment Winning Midsize Sedan

2013 Hyundai Sonata TX Wins a Convert

The Hyundai brand has made huge strides in the last decade or so to carve out a piece of the American car market for itself. It’s worked so hard, in fact, that it’s made a convert I never thought of: my grandfather. We’re talking about a man who’s bought Chevy Impalas exclusively for the last twenty years (usually in the same color). To say he was set in his ways would be an understatement. Just a few months ago, though, he surprised everyone by going out and buying his very first import: a 2013 Hyundai Sonata.

2013 Hyundai Sonata at Don Davis Hyundai

There were a lot of factors that made him switch from a Chevy Impala to a Hyundai Sonata, but chief among them was the value of the Hyundai Sonata Houston. For less than what he usually pays for his Impalas, he got a fully loaded 2013 Hyundai Sonata TX with a lifetime warranty. (That’s the lifetime car, mind you, not the lifetime of the buyer. At ninety-four years old, he was worried he wouldn’t be getting his money’s worth out of the warranty.)

My granddad is a simple guy; he doesn’t require much from a car. The 2013 Hyundai Sonata TX surprised him, though. He wanted a good car that would get him safely and comfortably around town. What he got was a car that surpasses his needs and even his wants.

His favorite feature on his new Hyundai Sonata Houston is something that he had never even thought of: Bluetooth phone connectivity. Believe it or not, all Sonata models from Hyundai Houston dealers come with Bluetooth. That means, of course, that you can talk on the phone while driving without ever having to take your hands off the steering wheel or your eyes away from the road. Granddad loves making calls from the car now just to show off for people.

You’d be right to thing that he’s not really a techy, so some of the other tech features are lost on him. I personally love that all Sonata models at Hyundai Houston dealers come standard with iPod input. Granddad doesn’t have an iPod; I’m not even sure he knows what an iPod is. He makes do with satellite radio, which is also standard, instead. (I’ve discovered I actually like the big band music of the 40’s. Who knew?)

The optional touchscreen in the 2013 Hyundai Sonata TX gives you access to climate control, navigation, and auto and phone features. If you’ve got young drivers borrowing your Hyundai Sonata Houston, you’ll be interested to hear that Hyundai’s BlueLink telematics system lets you set top speed limits and curfews. BlueLink offers other features, but the one that makes everyone in the family feel good is the emergency crash response, which will get help to the scene of an accident. That’s a fantastic feature no matter who’s driving.

I can also say from personal knowledge that the 2013 Hyundai Sonata TX is nice and roomy. My grandfather, dad, uncle, and aunt drove all the way to Mississippi in Granddad’s new Sonata for a wedding. They had plenty of room in the cabin for all four of them to fit comfortably plus plenty of room in the trunk for their luggage.

If you’re looking for a Sonata at your Hyundai Houston dealers, I would like to suggest making your purchase from the Don Davis Hyundai in Lake Jackson. They have been in business in the Texas Gulf Coast for more than thirty-six years. You can count on Don Davis Hyundai to treat you as a valued customer and exceed your expectations.
